GAUDY MONTERO RODRÍGUEZ

Hola, mi nombre es Gaudy y soy amante de la educación y las ciencias. Soy de un pequeño pueblito situado en San Mateo de Alajuela en donde a la gente le encanta compartir y celebrar.
Me encanta hornear y aprender a hacer comidas nuevas, me gusta mucho ir al río con mi perro y reunirme con mi familia. Me fascina el olor a tierra mojada y el sonido del viento cuando pasa por una endijita. Curiosamente no me gustan los bordes del pan ni tampoco me gustan las comidas picantes. Adoro enseñar, pero también adoro cuando aprendo de mis estudiantes, de mis amigos o de la vida.

MICHAEL PURPURA

I am a teacher who retired after teaching science, math, and exceptional student education for 29 years in U.S. public schools and 16 years in Costa Rica private schools. I found that I could just not stay away and found myself returning to teach at the incredible Tree of Life International School. I was born in the U.S. and have lived in Costa Rica for 22 years. My passions are surfing, playing guitar and harmonica and performing, reading, and writing. I live with my wife Aracelly and my two dogs, Akira and Lucky.

Osman Blanco, the new Science and Math teacher also loves music, specially from the 90´s.

I am a Math and Sciences teacher who also loves music (specially from the 90’s), and guitars. I have a total of 17 years of experience in public and private education as well as a trainers for multiple BPO companies.

I live with my wife (Sherry) and my two lovely cats (Lucy and Midna) whom I love all very much.

Noelia Bonilla Gómez, the new English teacher loves literature and wants to inspire her students to love it too.

NOELIA BONILLA GÓMEZ

Born in Costa Rica, I moved to Bogotá, Colombia, in 2015. I am a mom of two little ones, 4 -year -old Matías and 11 -month- old Naomi. I have been an educator for 17 years, teaching for 10 years at Country Day School and then 7 years at Gimnasio Vermont. Now back in Costa Rica, I am incredibly excited to be part of Tree of Life International School.

Angela Gosnell is the new JR1 Science teacher. She has lived in at least 20 countries doing what she loves the most: teaching.

ANGELA GOSNELL

I am Angie Gosnell. I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona in the US. I moved to Costa Rica in September 2020. My Spanish is not great, but I’m learning everyday! I have my degree in Elementary Education and am Montessori certified. This is my 17th year teaching mainly math and science, but I have taught a little bit of everything.

Some fun facts about me: I have been to over 20 different countries, I have 5 younger brothers, I love sports (especially basketball – Michael Jordan has a special place in my heart), and I make incredible carrot cake.

Arturo Robles Ruiz es entrenador de fútbol, preparador físico y profesor de Educación Física.

ARTURO ROBLES RUIZ

Soy costarricense, estudié Ciencias del Movimiento Humano en la UCR. Además, soy entrenador de futbol y preparador físico y profe de PE. Doy clases personales a niños y jóvenes que se preparan para ser grandes deportistas a nivel nacional y hasta internacional, desde nadadores, atletas, volleybalistas y jugadores de futbol. He trabajado en el Barca Academy Costa Rica, en el equipo de Natación de San José y actualmente en el Deportivo Saprissa en Divisiones Menores. El deporte siempre fue lo mío, no solo en la parte práctica, sino también en el porqué pasan las cosas, la teoría detrás de la actividad física. Me interesa el porqué nuestros cuerpos actúan de forma diferente a otros y nuestras aptitudes ante distintas situaciones y retos que presenta la actividad física.
